This is a great step forward in creating an economy for public goods, but as long as public goods have to rely on an external funding source (as opposed to a self-sustaining one, we're greatly limiting ourselves).
Protocols like Bitcoin or Ethereum already funded public goods (network security for the chain) to the tune of hundreds of billions of dollars. Why not use that as the basis for a public goods economy - but instead of just funding one public good, have a consensus mechanism that can fund public goods generally, based on their impact?
